COSTUME DESIGNER

Aidan Skye Jameson was born and raised in the South between Georgia and Virginia. She maintained a child-like imagination long after her peers, making films her main escape growing up. She was constantly amazed by the costumes in every film her parents showed her. She did not have the words yet, but in high school, she would learn that Costume Designers were responsible for the creations she held in her mind for daily inspiration.

Once Aidan Skye learned what a Costume Designer was, she knew that was what she was going to do when she grew up. She studied films and learned as much as she could about the legendary Costume Designers who paved the way for young, aspiring designers. And when it came time for college, she chose to come home to Georgia to study Costume Design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Here, she would receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Costume Design, and upon graduating in 2024, she was honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award for her academic and professional work as an undergraduate.

Since landing her first industry job in 2022, Aidan Skye has worked as a Costume PA on industry productions, as a Dresser and Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor in theatre, and as a Costume Designer on thesis films and independent productions.

As a Costume Designer, Aidan Skye creates designs for characters that are woven into the fabric of the narrative, adding depth to every seam of a costume. She believes a character’s own perception of their world is integral when fabricating a design. Through the use of color, texture, and shape, she conveys layers of relationships between characters and their story. Her designs reveal the hidden psychology and personal experience of a character, while taking inspiration from the world around them. She believes that characters have something to say, and she helps their costumes not just be worn, but speak.

Aidan Skye is currently working as a Costume PA in the industry, while maintaining her true passion for Costume Design on independent productions.
